Ruby's Fundraiser

Ruby Hannigan, a six-year-old child in our program, was diagnosed with leukemia in the spring. She has already has gone through several rounds of chemotherapy and a has had surgery on her intestines due to side effects.

Ruby also started to lose her hair.

Ela, our executive director, decided to shave her head on June 29, 2011 in support of the child and her family.  Thanks to Ela's selflessness and the overwhelming generosity of others, Ela was able to raise $10,441 for Ruby.

Welcome to Monarch Child Care Society

Monarch Child Care Society (MCCS), located in the Victoria School of the Arts, is a high-quality, accredited out-of-school care (OSC).  We offer care for children in Kindergarten through Grade Six.  We are a not-for-profit centre that is governed by parent volunteers.

Our philosophy is to build positive relationships with children, families and the community. Our qualified staff creates a nurturing and enriched environment that fosters the development of the whole child.
